Family and Friends

Family:

Throughout my entire life, it has always been my mom and I. In my opinion she is the best parent anyone could ever ask for! Though my mom has her own life and career, she has always supported me in mine. As I stated before, I have always played many sports (usually two to three at a time), but my mom would always be at every one of my games supporting me and cheering me on. Now that I am in college, 1,500 miles away from home, my mom is still supporting me. We talk to each other every day usually about how our days went. My mom has been a big influence on who I am today and I thank her for that!

Yes, I am an only child, but I do kind of have a brother…my dog Cricket! I have had cricket for about four years now. My mom and I adopted him when he was seven from Florida Dachshund rescue. He is a wonderful dog and loves to be loved or love on you. His favorite toy is the tennis ball, without he would be a sad dog. When I am home he sleeps, naps, and even eats with me. I am so thankful the Lord has blessed my home with such an amazing “brother”.

Friends:

Like many of you, I have a best friend and her name is Felicia. We have been best friends for about eight years. She is an amazing best friend. She has always had my back through the good and bad times. Though she is in Florida going to college, we talk a few times a week to catch up on gossip.

Now on to Leonard, he is my handsome boyfriend. Not only is he is a fantastic boyfriend, but he is a great person too. He and I have been together for about four years now. Both of us are from Florida and we both attend Iowa State. He is on the football team here (he is #23). On and off of the field he gives his all in everything he does. He is a great catch!
