Salut,

I'm happy to read your emails everyday, I feel so far from you. Life here is different. People are very friendly, they always invite me to go to their place. I think Québec people like to have dinner at their place. Also they all have small cars, and they care so much about the environment. There are so many different garbage cans for everything, paper, plastic, glass and real garbage. The food is really good and there are fewer fast food chains, but there are not a lot of cafeterias open on campus because the semester is over. Not so many students take summer classes here. Last night, I went to Cosmos with Julie, it is an amazing restaurant. It is like a lounge with only people of my age. I will go back there really often. I met Julie’s friend Claudia, she is really nice. I talked about Ames and they told me that they have never been in USA except to Florida. They told me that it is really important that I speak French here. First, not everybody understands English, well…most of people do, but the girls said that it was more polite to use French. It is their culture and it is what distinguishes them from other Canadians. So I guess I have to take it more seriously here. Gotta go to class. Talk to you later.
