Interests
Throughout my life I have always been involved in
sports. My favorite two were hockey and lacrosse and those were the two that I
played in high school. We won state twice for hockey and three times for
lacrosse. I learned a lot from playing on a team that will help me in life.
Athletics were a big part of my life up until college and now I miss it. It
isn’t just the game that I miss though. Being in sports introduced me to my
best friends. We all have played hockey together since 2nd grade and
I don’t know what I would do if they weren’t in my life. We are all split up
around the country for college but I know no matter what happens in my life
they will always be there for me.
Another thing that I am really interested in is
my work with kids. I have been working with kids since I was a freshman in high
school. I started out babysitting and now I am a nanny. I have worked at a day
care and volunteered in many nurseries. Even though my major has nothing to do
with children I continue to find jobs that involve working with them. If my
current major, kinesiology, does not work out I think that I will switch into
the early childcare major. I think I have a natural talent with kids and it is
one “job” I know I would never get tired of. I think they are the most carefree
people and we can learn a lot from them.
