Chicken Cream Pesto Sauce and Tortellini Pasta
This is a recipe I originally got off www.allrecipes.com,
and over the past two years I have made it my own with some additions. Here is what you will need:
Pint of half and half cream
¼ cup of butter
½ cup of parmesan cheese
¼ cup of pesto sauce
2 Teaspoons of chopped garlic
half a red onion
whole tomato
¼ cup olive oil
one pound of chicken
a package of tortellini noodles
Start off with a pan big enough for the half and half cream and turn it on to medium heat. Pour the half and half, butter, and parmesan cheese in the pan. Let this heat up and thicken for about 5-7 minutes, occasionally stirring. After these 5-7 minutes add in a teaspoon of the chopped garlic and pesto sauce, still stirring occasionally until the rest of the food is done at a low heat. Chop up the onion and tomato and add into the sauce as well. Meanwhile you can start boiling water for the tortellini, and cook the tortellini until they are soft.
Also you should heat another pan for the olive oil and chicken. You can spice the chicken up anyway you like. I prefer some season garlic peppers for the chicken and I put the other teaspoon of chopped garlic. Cook the chicken until done, and then chop it up to place on top of the pasta. Pour the desired amount of sauce on top of that and garnish with some parmesan cheese. Coles garlic bread goes well with to complete the sauce.
Other additions good for this pasta might be some spinach or
mushrooms, which would be good to sauté before placing in the sauce.
