SHARE is a non-profit student-run organization at Iowa State University. Our mission is to support and train students to respond to crisis, trauma, and disaster both in our local community and in areas affected by large-scale disasters.
Our immediate focus is raising money to help victims of Hurricane Katrina. In the future, we hope to expand to focusing on outreach and direct response to help victims of trauma, crisis, and disaster in our own community.

Our service trip to the Gulf Coast for Spring Break 2007 was a great success!! Pictures and stories coming soon.
"Participating in the rebuilding efforts in Louisiana was a life-changing experience. It was inspirational and humbling to witness the strength and resilence of those who have lost their homes and who are picking up the shattered pieces of their lives.
At the same time, it was impressive and energizing to meet so many compassionate and focused volunteers who are selflessly giving their time and efforts to help improve the lives of others. I was amazed to see how many people are continuing to respond to relief efforts related to Hurricanes Katina and Rita. We cannot forget these disasters - the people of the Gulf Coast will need our help for many years to come. "
