Our goals are important to our mission of serving victims of crisis, trauma, and disaster. We aim to support students in helping others overcome traumatic events in their lives, both locally and in remote locations. In addition, our goals represent a living document subject to change in order to suit the needs of our members.

Our goals are outlined below:

  1. Direct Response
    • Promote volunteerism, service and active involvement in responding to local crisis and trauma as well as large-scale disasters and crises
  1. Training
    • Commitment to expanding training and knowledge of responding to trauma, crisis, and disaster
  1. Outreach
    • Raise awareness of disaster and trauma-related needs on campus as well as in the community
    • Share their training, knowledge, and understanding of responding to crisis, trauma, and disaster with others in the community
  1. Research
    • Conduct ethical research aimed at increasing the knowledge and understanding of the effects of trauma and crisis on mental health
  1. Funding
    • Actively participate in fundraising to support the organization’s mission
    • Provide financial support to students who wish to provide support to victims of trauma, disaster or crisis
    • Provide financial support to students who wish to conduct ethical research on victims of trauma, disaster or crisis
