Intercultural Competence Learning Modules

Brief Description:

This projects deals with the design and development of web-based intercultural competency modules for undergraduate students at Iowa State University in collaboration with two international universities. They are WebCT based modules on cultural orientation and intercultural competency development.

 

 

 

 

 

Nature:

The main objective of these modules is to introduce clothing and textile intercultural competencies development.

 

Audience:

Undergraduate students of clothing and textile education programs at three universities: Iowa State University in the USA , University of Pretoria in South Africa, and the University of Melbourne in Australia.

Outcomes:

Learning modules hosted in Web-CT with the purpose to familiarize students with cultural components that will enable them to develop intercultural competencies to be used for effective communication while designing, producing and marketing clothing and textile products.
