Session title: Starting a company on Internet products and solutions by Iacovos Zachariades.

Iacovos Zachariades, who earned a graduate degree from Iowa State University, has been revamping, redesigning, improving and creating Web sites to be more efficient, hold more information and be more attractive for nearly a decade. Zachariades, 34, is the president and chief executive officer of what he says is one of the largest Web development companies in Iowa: Global Reach Internet Productions in Ames. The company he founded in 1995, located at the ISU Research Park , recently was presented the small category Technology Company of the Year award by Software and Information Technology of Iowa. Since 2003, Global Reach has upped its client list to more than 250, opened offices in Korea and Cyprus, which is Zachariades' homeland.

Clients include the Treasurer of the State of Iowa, Andersen Windows, Next Generation Reality, Iowa Reality, ISU, Drake University and the ISU Pappajohn Center for Entrepreneurship.

"We've never lost a client," Zachariades said. "I always say we do advance programming, and we do it well." He is currently negotiating four mergers and acquisitions that would expand the client list, as well.

"We have plans to keep growing," Zachariades said. "Hopefully, we can expand our operation in Des Moines. This could be a pretty big thing in three years."
