Session title: Leadership Development Workshop by Vanessa Preast.

Vanessa Preast is a doctoral student in Curriculum and Instructional Technology. After receiving her DVM, she worked as a small animal veterinarian while gaining veterinary acupuncture certification. Through her experiences, she discovered an interest in teaching and learning, especially adult learning. She also has an interest in leadership philosophy and organizational culture. She hopes to combine these interests in her future career by developing educational institutions with excellent learning outcomes and supportive cultures. In addition, she has a strong interest in social justice and would like a role in educating the public about social issues.
