We now have a functioning listserver for temps/part-timers. The purpose of the listserver is to enable temporary instructors and part-timers, both at ISU and across Iowa, to discuss their common concerns. When temporary instructors account for almost 50% of teaching faculty nation wide, the concerns should be plenty.
Since many view the use and abuse of temporary faculty as representing a great threat to tenure, concerned tenure-line and tenured faculty are welcome to join as well.
