Virtual Library
"The future means both collections and access."
(Crawford and Gorman, 1995:181)
In its initial form, CyberStacks(sm) has been implemented as a selected collection
of local or remote electronic publications or resources which have been organized
within a subject classification system used by libraries.
We believe that the structure, organization, descriptions and access provided by CyberStacks(sm)
offer the user a catalog of a collection as well as the collection itself.
CyberStacks(sm) may be viewed as the convergence, merger and
fusion of a catalog and an associated collection.
