The National Goat Handbook is a publication and part of the National
Dairy Database, sponsored jointly by the University of Maryland and the
National Agricultural Library of the USDA. Here, users will find an
alphabetical listing of topics related to breeding, maintaining, tending,
and housing goats for agricultural pourposes. Each topic is a link to its
respective area within the handbook.
Users should note that seventy-two topics are contained in the publication;
noted here are some of the major topics: angora goat production and
selection; behavior, commercial milk production, diseases and disease
management, feeding, fencing, genetic evaluations, hormones, housing,
mastitis, meat prodcution, reproductive management, symbols in dairy goat
