"This directory provides information on the current addresses, phone
numbers, and e-mail addresses of mammalogists. It is provided
courtesy of the Information Retrieval Committee of the American
Society of Mammalogists, but it is not restricted to members of the
society. Nor does it include all the members of the society who
have e-mail accounts listed in the Directory of Members," (Journal of

"The directory is fully indexed and can be searched [or browsed] by name,
institution, etc. Searching is not case sensitive. Entering two

"The list was compiled by the 20 contributors listed at the end
of [the authority] file. It is intended for use as an authority file for
collections management activities of mammal collections. The
list was compiled under the auspices of the American Society of
Mammalogists."
