In 1979 the chapter began holding its annual fall meeting with other Iowa conservation organizations. The first two were held jointly with meetings of the Iowa Wildlife Federation in 1979 and 1980. In 1981, 1982 and 1983 the Iowa Chapter meetings were held concurrently with those of the Iowa Association of County Conservation Boards. In 1985, the Chapter began holding a spring meeting dedicated to workshops and continuing education. The annual business meeting continues to be held in the fall often as a joint meeting with other conservation groups. A list of sponsored programs follows:
