M.J. Riggs, 1883

M.J. Riggs graduated in 1883 and was the president of the Alumni Association, in charge of raising one million dollars for the Memorial Union project. He became president of the Memorial Union Board, but died before the ground was broken. Riggs words are etched in stone over the west entrance stairs in the Memorial Union.
