Recent Travel

I have a special interest in intercultural and international communication and have developed this interest, in part, by work, travel, and photography in a number of countries, a few of which are presented here.

Denmark. The town of Ærøskøbing on the northern coast of Denmark’s Aero Island was chartered in 1398. Many well-preserved homes date from the 17th and 18th centuries.

Italy. Many of the vendors at this open-air market in Florence, Italy, are farmers who sell their own produce. We found a variety of fruits, vegetables, breads, and cheeses.

Mexico. This sunset is in Conchas Chinas on Mexico's Pacific coast. The views through the tropical foliage are spectacular.

Norway. This stave church, constructed about 1200 in Gol, has been moved to the Folkmuseum in Oslo, Norway.

South Africa. Herds of zebra roam the Phinda Game Reserve, nearly 55,000 acres of conservation land in northern KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa.
