Course Description: The Prerequisites for this course is to have satisfactory performance on placement exam, 2 years of high school algebra, 1 year of geometry. This course covers analytic geometry, derivatives and integrals of elementary functions, partial derivatives, and applications.

Text: The text used in this department for this course is Brief Calculus: Solving Problems in Business, Economics, and Social and Behavioral Sciences, by Bill Armstrong and Don Davis, 2nd edition.


Requirements: I am planning on giving about 10-15 problems a day.  We will have a quiz once a week every Friday unless we have an exam that day. The quiz questions will be similar to the recommended homework. There will be 3 exams and one comprehensive final exam.
