In the Fall Semester, I will teach Physics 106, The Physics of Common Experience.
My field of research is Experimental Nuclear Physics, focusing on Relativistic Heavy Ion Collisions. I participate in thePHENIX experiment at RHIC at Brookhaven National Laboratory . In the past three years we have studied AuAu, CuCu, pp and dAu collisions at 130 and 200 GeV and we published several papers. Results of our research have also been reported in news articles on RHIC . We will soon a new data taking run. I am coordinating the Time Expansion Software development and the Data Quality Assurance for PHENIX. My interest is to study charmonium suppression in relativistic heavy ion collisions.

More information on my scientific activities can be found in my Curriculum Vitae and list of Publications (also available from Spires Database)

Research opportunities are available for students, inquiries are welcome, send e-mail to mrosati@iastate.edu

I am married to David Atwood
