To view the above files, you must download the freely
distributed "viewer" version of EndNote Plus, an easy-to-use bibliographic database program produced by Niles & Associates, Inc. of Berkeley, CA. You cannot use a word processor or text editor to view these files. The EndNote demo/viewer can be downloaded for free in Macintosh, Windows, and DOS versions.
However, I would highly recommend purchasing the full version of EndNote, as it supports several different style formats -- including MLA, APA, and Chicago -- not offered in the free viewer. If you should happen to use another database program besides EndNote, try downloading files in the Refer/BibIX format, which is generally included as an import option in most database programs. All bib files, as well as the EndNotes viewer program, can be decompressed after downloading by using the following shareware utilities:
While there are several online and CD-ROM bibliographic database systems that perform more powerful searches and provide greater amounts of information, they really don't compare with having a fully-searchable database right on your desktop where you can use it while writing. As you will note, none of the citations in these databases has been annotated.
Every effort has been made to be as careful as possible in constructing these bibs, but you may encounter some typos; if so, please let me know so I can correct them.
