Purpose

1. To improve athletic understanding and relationship throughout the junior-senior high schools within the State of Iowa.

2. To foster a closer working relationship with the Iowa High School Athletic Association and the Iowa Girls' High School Athletic Union.

3. To foster higher standards of professional proficiency and ethics.

4. To develop greater unity, uniformity, and fellowship among all members.

5. To improve the articulation of interscholastic athletics in the total educational program.

6. To present opportunities for programs on mutual problems and practices.
