Assignment: Take the "VARK" learning styles inventory and reflect on how different activities in this class will fit with your learning strengths and weaknesses.

Details:

1. Go to the VARK Learning Assessment site and take the online questionaire (click the "questionaire" tab): http://www.vark-learn.com/english/index.asp. Note that you can give me than one answer to each question!

2. You'll get an evaluation of your main learning style(s). Click on the helpsheets to read about these styles.

3. Type up your answers to the following questions:

• Do the test results make sense? Do they correspond to your own sense of your strengths and weaknesses?
• Think about how your learning strengths & weaknesses fit with the activities in this class. What are the different activities (debates, lecturettes, readings, group work...)? Which will be the easiest for you, given your learning style? Which may be the most challenging?
• What can you do to maximize your learning in this class? How can you take advantage of your strengths and meet the challenges?
