6th
Annual
Lefse Day
December 6, 2008
9:00
a.m. ~ ??

Help
continue
the Crim family tradition of making and eating lefse, potato cakes,
kringla,
and ostakaka, by sharing in the 3rd annual Lefse Day on December
3rd.
Teaching and baking starts at 9:00 am and goes till the goods are
finished,
eaten, and divided out to take home in the afternoon. We need
plenty of
learners AND experienced eaters to make it worthwhile cleaning up the
house—so we can get flour and dough everywhere. Rumors have it that at
least Patty, Helen, and Mildred will attend to share their wisdom and
good
humors - pending weather and health, of course. Equipment and
ingredients
provided.
Lunch will be informal. We're planning on soups, salads and
munchies.
If you are coming from a distance, you can bring a can of veggies to
contribute
to "Stone Soup". Bring a salad or snack if you like. We'll have
the soup base started. Water and coffee will be provided.
Bring
your own if you'd like something different. You can wash your
dishes or
take them home dirty!

Please bring containers to take the goodies home. A large pizza
box works
for the lefse, big baggies work for the potato cakes and kringlas.

A comfy, sturdy folding chair or lawn chair might be handy if you're
planning
to do more eating than making (which is OK, you may get dusted with
flour if
you don't move!)
Really, this is just an excuse to get together even if you know about
lefse
already. You can see how much fun we had last year in pictures on
the
